After recording advancement in TroopMaster, you must upload it to BSA's Internet Advancement 2.0 (IA2) to officially register ranks and merit badges with the council. TroopMaster generates the upload file automatically.
BSA's Internet Advancement 2.0 (IA2) replaced the old Internet Advancement 1.0 in 2019. TroopMaster generates IA2-compatible export files and is recognized by BSA as a compatible third-party advancement system.
Uploading to IA2:

Note on Eagle Scout: Eagle Scout advancement has a separate, more involved process at the council level. Uploading through IA2 records the merit badges and rank, but Eagle applications, Eagle Board of Review, and final Eagle approval are handled through your council separately.
